This complete home renovation in Oakville led to a completely new front and back landscape redesign to complement the house’s style and to satisfy the family’s needs. With two young kids and a busy life, a low maintenance landscape was the homeowner's number one priority.
The red clay soil which is typical for some areas in Oakville was the main concern for this project as the backyard usually transforms in a pool early in spring when the snow melts in Spring. Therefore, two individual NDS Flo-wells System for drainage were proposed to be installed in the far back of the yard as rain water management where all the downspouts were connected as well the entire lawn gently sloped towards to drain.
While the Front stays formal, open and inviting, the back was designed as extension of the home whether on the floating deck or lower stone patio gives the possibility to entertain while watching the kids having fun on the lawn surrounded by lush, all year around interest planting.
