BEDFORD PARK AVE
A generator that was an eye sore by front entrance, a soggy front lawn in areas due to sum pump and side downspout discharge with a bumpy lawn by the sidewalk due to city tree planted on top of the old stump and a backyard that was not safe enough for the kids were few of the homeowner’s concerns.
A free-standing stone wall finished in limestone same style as the house veneer was built as a foundation for the garden bed to cover up the generator.
An IPE screening was custom built-in front of the generator with a detachable side to allow easy servicing as needed with a yew hedge planted in front of it creating in this way a cascade of three decorative elements that complement each other with its own purpose.
An NDS Drainage System to connect both the sum pump and side downspout was installed under the front lawn with a pop-up emitter as overflow backup.
To flatten the lawn, an armor stone wall as garden edge was installed around the tree, irrigation system adjusted and new sod installed.
To transform the backyard into all year around playground, artificial turf was installed and guard rail with gates to exiting deck were installed for extra safety. To add some extra fun in the hot summer days, the exiting irrigation system was left on a separate zone to turn on and off as needed.
